Histogen Merges With Conatus Pharmaceuticals

Histogen is finally becoming a publicly traded company in 2020 after latest merger deal.

2020年1月28日,组织原和企图Pharmaceuticals issued a press release announcing a definitive merger agreement between the two companies. Like Histogen, Conatus Pharmaceuticals is a biotech company based in San Diego, CA. Conatus has been publicly traded on Nasdaq since 2013 and at one point reached a stock price of $14.25 per share. Through this new agreement, Histogen will merge with a wholly-owned subsidiary of Conatus and the new combined company will be called Histogen, there will be no more Conatus. Until now, Conatus Pharmaceuticals has been traded on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol ‘CNAT’; there is expected to be a different ticker symbol for the new combined Histogen company. The complete transaction is expected to be completed by Q2 2020.

The merger is a beneficial development for both companies. Previously, Conatus Pharmaceutical’spipelineincluded a protease inhibitor called emricasan which was aimed at liver diseases and a compound called CTS-2090 which is intended to treat chronic inflammatory diseases. However, in June 2019emricasanfailed to meet its primary endpoint in a phase 2 clinical trial which lead to that program being terminated by Conatus and its strategic partner Novartis. This left Conatus with only one other early stage compound in its pipeline and a struggle to bring value to its shareholders. Merging with Histogen brings Conatus a fresh pipeline of technology including a hair growth injectable, dermal filler, and cartilage repair matrix. The merger with Conatus gives Histogen a faster path to becoming publicly traded than the traditional IPO route. It’s a win-win situation.

In its latest press release, Histogen mentions these near term goals for 2020:

  • File an Investigational New Drug Application Amendment in Q2 2020 and initiate a Phase 1b/2a study of HST 001 for the treatment of male pattern baldness in Q2 2020.
  • File an Investigational Device Exemption in Q2 2020 and initiate a Phase 1 study of HST 002 as a dermal filler in Q2 2020.
  • File an Investigational New Drug Application in Q3 2020 and initiate a Phase 1 study of HST 003 for the treatment of articular cartilage defects in the knee in Q3 2020.
  • Announce top-line results from Phase 1 study of HST 002 for the treatment of nasolabial folds in Q3 2020.
  • Announce top-line results from Phase 1b/2a study of HST 001 for the treatment of male pattern baldness in Q4 2020.

If Histogen can produce more results like this in their upcoming trial of HSC in male pattern baldness their stock price will likely rise in 2020. What do the readers think of this development for the longstanding company Histogen? Comment below.

  1. Were people saying 2020 was off to a slow start? Not so much anymore, this news and HairClone receiving a government grant to further their hair program are both long awaited and noteworthy.

  2. Is that photo in the article definitely results from Histogens product? I seem to recall it being said that it was the results of a transplant but had wrongly been used as a Histogen result.
    Can anyone clarify?

    • That result was shared by Gail Naughton at a World Congress For Hair Research, never heard anyone claim it was a hair transplant. If so, that would have been a risky move.

      • Well I am happy to be wrong in this instance!
Lets hope Histogen actually start going some where after stagnating for a decade.

      • That picture is misleading, you can see that in the second picture the dudes hair is combed forward to over the balding spot and also different lighting is used to shadow the scalp. Those results are definitely not impressive, also the other picture released is the same. I don’t think HSC really works. They have been showing the same 3 pictures for the past 10 years…

        • Some are impressed with this photo, some are not. It was released in 2015.

          • I assume most people don’t realise that it is just a comb-over and the lighting, as well as the angle, the photo was taken in is different in both pictures. the actual parting of the hair looks the same to me. I’m not saying I am an expert or anything. Are there any other photos other than this and the lady with the temple area which have been released since?

          • Combing probably certainly enhanced the result but some people have felt there is objectively more hair in the after photo. I don’t believe there are newer photos, just the photos from the Dr. Ziering study which were from 2013 I believe.

  3. Not trying to be negative, but 13 years after Histogen’s conception, it is going to do yet another phase I study.

      • I don’t understand how 2 little 2 late applies here. If hsc came to market in 3.5 years you would refuse to get the treatment and say it’s 2 late? I’m curious.

        • Im hoping follica will be enough for me. Irk be a breakthrough for other people at that time, so I’ll be happy good them. I need something immediately.

        • Of course I wouldn’t turn down the treatment, just as I would not turn down a rich stranger’s offer of a million dollars. I’m simply talking about the law of probabilities in relation to the little boy who cried wolf in an effort to attract funding while hawking a problematic product.

From what we were told recently, Phase III was a success, and Histogen had filed for approval with the Mexican FDA. By now, we were supposed to all get hair back. Instead, we’re back in phase I studies. Don’t be gullible. If it worked consistently, it would be available already, and funding would not be a problem. As presented, this would be the biggest cash cow in the biotech industry. All the company would have to do is present proof that it works, and then go public with the stock. Patent issues? That was cleared up in 2013 and is yesterday’s news. Most likely there are consistency problems with the treatment; thus, Gail has had a difficult time attracting investors.

Can Histogen get it working sufficiently to be able to market it within 10 years? Probably. Will it be too little too late when they do finally figure it out? Their current backers are counting on it being timely enough to make a profit. I’m not vested into the product, nor am I holding my breath. I wish this company the best of luck. IMO, there’s more to the story than they’re publicly disclosing.

That said, Follica doesn’t look as bad as many people are making it out to be. The creation of brand new follicles is a welcome addition to the field, and the fact that it works as a result of quorum sensing indicates the more you grow, the more potential there is for future growth. Over time, you should be able to continue to get more and more new hair. Protect this hair with the upcoming side effect free DHT blockers, and you’ll turn into Rob Lowe without the accompanying shrunken nut syndrome.

Good things are on the horizon!

          • Just for the record, Phase 3 in Mexico never completed and most likely did not even begin. Gail Naughton told me that Histogen’s potential partner in Mexico sold their business and therefore was not able to do the Phase 3 with them. Histogen certainly never applied with the Mexican authorities for approval. I’m not sure where you heard that version of the story.

I do agree that there is likely more to the Histogen story than we are told but I don’t think it is because of consistency problems with the treatment.

    • Yes, that’s the targeted date for now, early 2021 the DP cell cultures could be available to physicians in the UK to use on patients in the UK.

      • @Follicle Thought Early 2021 still feels like a long way off. Whats our best bet sooner? WAY or Follica or offlabel higher strength Clastoterone (breezula)?

        • D1, I’m not sure what the best bet is for 2020. Potentially nothing unless a cosmetic product like WAY analog or similar comes out.

          • Can u tell me the difference between hairclone and replicel ? (shiseido)

          • Replicel uses dermal sheath cup cells (specific part of the hair follicle) and HairClone is using cells from the dermal papilla. That is a major point of emphasis on differences.

  4. I also saw another press release where Histogen was expanding collaboration w Allergan. Seem pretty active

  5. Color me very cautiously optimistic. Hopefully something will come from it, but Histogen has proven time and time again that they are the Charlie Brown of the hair growth industry. If there is a way to thwart success, they will find it.

  6. People who have no idea how medicine gets advanced and the effort and trial/error it takes make the most ridiculous, entitled, ignorant comments here. It amazes me.

    • I know what you mean Dave, though I’m not calling out anyone in this thread.

I think a lot of people fail to realize that Histogen was dealing with a lawsuit from a large company (Allergan/Skinmedica) for about 5 solid years, the sum total of that stagnation accounts for more than five years due to lack of funding and inability to initiate clinical trials, etc. Also,Histogen had to redevelop the HSC product which was known and talked about which is why they are now back at a phase 1b/2a. (they removed the bovine serum from it I believe) Perhaps they have not executed flawless decision making over 10 years but logically I’m not going to criticize them because a jealous lawsuit really interrupted their development for half a decade. The fact that they’re still fighting is worthwhile.

My motto is show me results from the new HSC version in 2020 and if it still works I’m on board for sure, if not we move on.

      • Well said, Follicle Thought. I have full faith in Histogen’s scientists, always have. I just have little faith in their administrators. In any case, always appreciate your updates! Keep ‘em coming!

        • Thank you Matt G, your perspective is rational and makes for a worthwhile contribution to the discussion thread.

    • If it’s not safety or consistency, then what’s wrong? Why would a company with a really strong and proven product go from phase 3 to phase 1? Perhaps they had to backtrack and change the formulation in some way. But that doesn’t appear to be the case, as they are starting an optimum dosing trial, and appear to indicate it’s the same product as before. Perhaps it’s that they’ve been unable to wow potential investors and plan to do a small inexpensive study aimed at pumping the stock price and attracting further investment. That said, if the product is as good as they claim, why are they unable to wow any investors?

      2018 Histogen outlook:

“An established San Diego-based news publication announced that Histogen had begun a phase 3 trial in Mexico. This was not the only announcement of said trial, as Naughton told Allure magazine that she expected HSC to gain approval in Mexico first, perhaps in 2020, and then in the US sometime after. Also, Histogen Board Member Stephen Chang announced at a conference that Histogen had filed for a phase 3 trial with the Mexican FDA.”

      2019 Histogen outlook:

“[The Mexican partner sold his business and will not pursue the phase 3 trial. Histogen will] continue to evaluate the HSC development pathway in both men and women with the goal of moving it forward in late-stage clinical trials early next year.”

      2020 Histogen outlook:

” In one trial, 84.6% of men receiving just one HSC treatment showed a significant increase in terminal hair count and hair thickness at 12 weeks. Improvement of hair growth parameters was still evident after one year…In the second clinical trial, in which patients received two treatments 6 weeks apart, the increase in total hair count was even more significant….In both trials, men over 40, normally less responsive to non-surgical treatments, responded well to treatment, including a mean increase of 39% in terminal hairs.”

“Histogen to start a Phase 1b/2a trial.”

      • I’m actually certain that the product, although similar and the same concept, has changed formulation over the years. This is the reason the company had to go back to phase 1b/2a. This was stated by Gail previously she mentioned the new product had a higher concentration of growth factors and did remove a bovine serum which people can be allergic to.

  7. Heel juist gesproken admin, bedankt voor uw inspanning, meer kunnen we en mogen wij niet van u verlangen.

    • Thanks pjotre, is it possible to comment in English?

  8. I was excited about Histogen for many years and was defender when the negative Nancy’s piled on when it wasn’t out in the time frame they created in their own uninformed minds (like Dave said). Being from San Diego, I know that Gail Naughton is respected in the Biotech community. However, it’s hard for me to get excited seeing all those “phase ones” in their pipeline. Conatus knows how that can work out. For years it always seemed that Histogen was going to be out right around the corner. Going back to a Phase 1b/2a study of HST 001 for the treatment of male pattern baldness means we’re years away form this seeing the light of day, if ever.

  9. STOCK MARKET MONEY MAKING GAME STAY AWAY FROM IT I SAY AS OTHERS HAVE SAID BEEN DOING TRIALS 1/2 TRIALS SINCE 2010 DOESNT THIS RING BELLS

    • 当然仍然持谨慎态度,但I think a lot of people are mistaken if they think the last 10 yrs has made Histogen a rich company, they apparently came close to running out of company revenue if they didn’t find this deal. That could have ended the company.

      • While I’m not throwing a wet blanket on them you have to wonder why they had so much difficulty attracting investors. For a time you could blame the lawsuit but that was settled a number of years ago. Not a Compelling story? Bad management? Poor at putting on the “road show” for investors?

  10. Histogen getting pushed back to phase 1’s hurts. Hopefully they will hit market eventually.

  11. 根据另一个新闻稿从组织原this week their Nasdaq ticker symbol will be “HSTO” if anyone is interested.

    • Lisa, it’s a shampoo (I’ve used the brand in the past), it might make your hair look nice and scalp feel better. However, it definitely won’t have any meaningful impact of hair loss let alone any regrowth.

      • This is wrong. It has Saw Palmetto which is clincally shown to reduce hair loss. Works similarly (not as strong) as Finasteride.

  12. Admin, anyway start into 2020 was very disappointing. There was so Little News I wasnt expecting that. But still I guess this year has potential of at least 6 Drugs, Devices and Cosmeceuticals … (Almirall, Medipost, Histogen/Allergan, Madison Electro Cap, Guilliani, Avalon-Globocare, Silab and more Exosomes from several companys. …. Having that all by end of the year will make a good start into 2021 then. …. Admin what do you think?

    • I agree with Yoda. I was banking on histogen back in 2013 when it was supposed to be released. They are just pushing a company treatment to make money. The hsc doesn’t work. It’s a giant marketing scheme backed by fake pics and dr ziering ht doc. This treatment is no better than prp. Let’s move on to better companies like follica, summed, hairclone etc. If histogen ever comes to market I will buy the admin here the first month injection

      • Thank you Mjones, I will take you up on that offer!!!

      • Whooa…slow your roll there MJ! While Yoda believes that Histogen may be lacking competence I don’t believe it’s a grand, snake oil like money grab. As related, Gail Naughton has a good reputation in the Biotech community and in general in San Diego. For some reason they just couldn’t get their sh*t together. Start ups, particularly Biotechs, can be a tricky business. I doubt the pics are fake, they are still bound by SEC guidelines while raising money from investors and now more than ever (soon to be publicly traded). If they ever get their act together and release this I might be the 1st in line, feel free to pay for Yoda’s treatment as well!

        • I agree with Yoda’s thoughts about Histogen, have even heard from a scientist who is familiar with HSC and said it does work. I like your point about them being under the spotlight for sure now that they are going to be on the stock market. I think we could end up seeing some results this year – I hope they are good! P.s. would be awesome to get some HSC injections alongside Yoda.

      • Kinda surprised you listed follica as a ‘better company’…if I had option of 1 yr worth of histogen injections of 1 year of follica treatment I take histogen personally.

        • I’d take the one that actually comes out and works. To date neither has cleared that bar.

          • Yoda, what did you think of all the data Histogen has released over the years such as microphotography of scalp circles, the women from Ziering trial, and several male photos which have been released? I know it’s not like a concrete thing, but Histogen has produced data over the years…

        • Follica: High probability of being available in 2 years. Current average clinical improvement 44% over all treated age groups.

Histogen: Zero percent probability of being available in 2 years. More realistically available between five and ten years from now. Current average clinical improvement 25.2% over all treated age groups.

          • Admin, without getting too deep into the weeds, I definitely feel that Histogen was a credible company with a high degree of potentially delivering an effective next gen treatment. I don’t buy into the negative hype that the pics are fake (hair fibers, comb over, transplant, lighting, etc.). I was teed up to cross the boarder and go to Mexico for treatments until that deal fell apart. They simply seem unable to get their act together, seeing that they are reconstituting the treatment and are back to phase one doesn’t lead to my continued optimism. However, I’m also not one who thinks 100% that they will be late to the game. We can’t be certain that anything else will come out before and/or will be better, if in fact Histogen does ever make it to market.

  13. Hello Admin. Thank you for your dedication. Are there any news from J Hewitt?

    • Hi Glammetal, did you read the latest J Hewitt updates on the Updates page from January 21?

      • Hey yoda, let me rephrase. Histogen hsc hair loss treatment is used to grab funding for their other treatments that probably work. They did release a cosmetic treatment for skin last year. They were working on that for a few years regardless of their lawsuit. Their hair loss solution doesn’t work. They did two trials and showed no results. The pic of the guy is from a ht. The hair growth pattern in that pic is weird. It looks like an ht because most of the growth is in the front and the back is red and the same. It looks odd. Rogaine propecia dermarolling, all have a equal regrowth pattern if it works for those who take it. Not just thick growth in the front lol. I’m not trying to bash histogen and I’m sure Gail is a smart and nice person but their treatment doesn’t work. The fact they are starting from phase 1 shows that they had nothing. If they did they should start at phase 2. Just look at the pic of the guy. Why in vertex no regrowth but front gets massive growth? They injected all over. I choose follica because their treatment is backed by legit researchers with numerous trials and we know it works, even if its just a little.

        • M Jonsey, you’re too QAnon & contradictory for me. I believe their other treatments reach a larger population that the hair loss crowd. If anything that might be more seductive than investors. Seriously, you seem like a good dude. Take four deep breaths and let’s see what develops.

        • Do you know what follica’s treatment consists of? Isn’t it minox + dermapen..I’m not downing it, but its treatment has nothing to do with its researchers. Histogen has had multiple pics over the years.

      • We all read the update but want to know how many months the trial is delayed. What did Jon Knight tell you?
Has he found a new company which will do trials?

        • 目前还不清楚有多少个月trial is delayed. Knight is continuing to look for a cell processing company who can do the trial, I don’t believe he has a new one at the moment. He did tell me he was very disappointed after coming up short in negotiations with the original company, this set him back about 6 months. The scenario has really changed for him, he thought he was going to be able to move ahead ASAP with the original mentioned company and now the future is uncertain for the trial.

          • Admin, you should just start making up arbitrary dates and time frames with info that you already have reiterated that you don’t know. That way guys like Stephen can chill out and quit asking questions that can’t be answered.

        • You are right yoda, I’m just fed up with waiting…… started propecia in 2002 and 18 years later nothing…I know you have been in the game longer…you are one patient man lol. I should keep telling myself that these companies don’t owe me anything and they are not revolved around my hair loss. I just pray the next available treatment will be able to grow Norwoods and not measly bs rogaine baby hairs. That’s my biggest fear, we wait years and the next best treatment is no better than current big 3

          • Of course I’m right MJ…I’m freakin Yoda!! At a start up med device company I worked at that was taking forever to release the product we’d say “if it were that easy everyone would be doing it”! My guess is the next treatment will be better but probably not the holy grail that will take a high norwood to NW 1 or 2. It’s just a guess, even though I’m Yoda I can’t tell the future with certainty.

  14. Theres a reason why shares prices are what they are now. Merging two penny stocks will not make a buck.

      • The thing about wild cards are that the products are trialed in private mostly (see Giuliani and formerly Fidia) and pending the results we may hear or never hear about the products. Some companies want to keep private about it until it’s time to release a product.

Current wildcard contenders = Giuliani with a WAY product and an Unnamed California based company, there is also a chance and likely that other companies are dabbling behind the scenes too.

          • I’ve not checked in, but will do so in Q1 of this year for both. I think Stemore should be really interesting if they can get a clinical trial going soon, they have a big scientific backing on their DP technology. The founder has published many studies on different types of stem cells for hair growth.

  15. @Follice Thought I thought stemore had their cosmetic treatments already in testing?

    • That’s right, Stemore also has some cosmetic products which should be coming this year as well. I don’t know if the product will be considered a wild card breakthrough since it is intended for women moreso than men. However, if they can useful that would be big plus in 2020.

      • @Follicle Thought It didnt say they are for women and I cant see why it would be any different unless acting on testosterone

  16. I have just three words for all your readers. Micro-needling with minoxidil.

    1.5 mm, 1X/wk + minoxidil 2X daily.

The results are stunning in this study and in many anecdotes online.

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3746236/

Proof of concept of this approach is Follica’s treatment regimen; a device that is basically a micro needling pen that causes micro-injuries to the scalp and initiates a stem cell program to either repair the wound or generate a new hair follicle. Their topical contains minoxidil and some proprietary component they probably have determined exploits the “embryonic window” after injury and pushes stem cells toward a hair follicle fate. This is likely what is happening in the above linked study and to the many that have reported benefits (to some degree or another) online.

I have been micro needling for just 2 weeks with the above approach and the results are already apparent. Why wait when you can stimulate your body’s own stem cell program to regenerate hair now.

    Good luck.

    Alex

    • Figure 8 leaves me to wonder what the hairs looked like before being shaved. However, the self-assessments look intriguing. Where did you get your derma roller?

    • Alex,
How long last the injuries on the scalp after using dermaroller 1.5 mm?

      • I derma pen for ~10 minutes, front to back and my scalp become red and irritated, which goes away after 2 hours.

    • Wow, results after two weeks, unbelievable! No really, it’s not believable. But if you feel good about it that’s a positive start.

  17. Admin,

Just looked at your Clinical Therapies Pipeline chart. Good work! Very useful and handy.

Personally, I like the treatment that are designed to thicken existing hairs, or the treatments that are delivered via injection.

Due to my type of loss (diffuse thinning all over top) I’m hoping (praying) that if one of these comes to market, it could make a big difference.

Looking at your table, it seems that RCH-01 is my best bet? Maybe HairClone. Would you agree?

    • Well, if RCH-01 ever gets released it would be a great bet. HairClone may end up becoming available before RCH-01 does, however that will be in England. I do agree those are some choices for diffuse if they pan out well.

      • @Follicle Thought Do you have any contact with any Shiseido or Replicel representatives?

  18. Does anyone have a rough idea of when exosomes will be available in the UK? Any educated guesses?

Are we thinking a year? Two? Five?

  19. Paul, they are available in the us. You can buy them online and have them shipped right to your home.

    • Cheers, Anonymyti. Even so, I think I’ll wait for them to appear in proper hairloss clinics. Don’t they need to take a sample from the back of my head? I wouldn’t feel confident doing it myself.

  20. @Paul No, exosomes are simply just like prp you inject them in the affected area and that’s it. So many us dermatologists are very optimistic about exosomes. Yet, i haven’t seen any relevant result from any patient. Someone must really try them and give us a feedback. at least they aren’t harmful to the body since exosomes are all natural. BTW, exosomes is thought to be a WNT pathway stimulant, so who knows there may be a potential behind it.

  21. Ah. Okay. Cheers for clarifying!

Even so, I don’t think I could inject myself in the head. At some point, I’m assuming that clinics will provide this service. I’d feel more comfortable doing it that way.

So, am I right in thinking that Exosomes are standard and generic? As in, they aren’t specific to the person?

    • No they are not person specific, though they could be at some point. The only exosomes which have been studied to stimulate hair growth are those derived from dermal papillae stems cells. Exosomes from any other tissue would not contain whatever hair growth factors the dermal papillae stem cells by program secrete to stimulate hair growth. Never purchase a biological reagent from the internet unless it is clinical grade and with a certificate of analysis for purity and active components.

      • Alex, ExoFlo is the product that seems to be gaining the most hype and I’m all but sure those are not derived from dermal papillae stem cells. This is the product Dr. Mcgrath has used and I believe Dr. Cole is using it as well. I believe the company Direct Biologics is marketing its use for virtually any tissue and I’m sure they’re not just deriving a product like that from DP cells, at least that would be my understanding.

  22. @paul, as far as i understand , no they take nothing out of your body. Furthermore , you can buy exosomes and have any dermatologist inject them on your scalp. exosomes can be bought online with no restriction. they only issue is the price.

  23. DIY PRP guys always bewildered me. Guess exosomes are the next logical step…or illogical if you’re a rational human being. Why not do it at home, if it doesn’t work, as it probably won’t what not save a few bucks. And yes, I have 1st hand experience with PRP/CRP, the same doc is now promoting exosomes but I’ve seen absolutely no evidence that it performs for androgenic alopecia.

      • No KD, not Cole. Another well respected Dr. in the field considered the Godfather of PRP. I had 4 or 5 (can’t remember) treatments within a year…that’s a lot. Negligible results if any, definitely not worth the $5k I shelled out. While I like the doctor, and I think these guys hang their hat on any positive shred of evidence they can, e.g. PRP worked on a younger patient, female, someone with another form of hair loss than AGA. Mind you, Yoda’s hair loss is not advanced as I’ve stayed on top of it but certainly can be better. Point being I’m not someone that was expecting to regrow hair on a bald pate. The Dr. is not promoting exosomes but has not been able to show me conclusive proof that it’s effective on AGA. Alopecia areata and other forms of hair loss induced by inflammation, shock, etc. possibly but not AGA. Yoda recommends you save your money boys and girls, until conclusive evidence is demonstrated.

        • sorry that should’ve been that “The Dr. is NOW promoting exosomes” instead of “not”!

  24. Does anyone have youtube links or other links of exosomes actually working? I’m curious to see the results that have doctors talking.

    • H., Stemson Therapeutics are working towards a trial potentially in very late 2020 or early 2021. They’re still doing preclinical work with completely human cells.

      • Admin, realistically, how many years of trials will stemson have to do before they have a good amount of knowledge about long term side effects, efficacy, and everything else? Can you really do all that in five years of trials or should it take more like 10-15 years? I know the FDA is approving stuff much faster these days but how much time do you think it would take to really know all those criteria? Also, you have them listed with a 2026 release date on the cures page, right?

        • Greg, 2026 is just an estimated date at this moment and it’s basically estimated if things go very well for Stemson. There is always the potential for delays like H. has mentioned.

I think within 2 years Stemson can get an idea on the long term efficacy of the treatment, the only side effect associated with this type of treatment could be a tumor, but that is a bit extreme and likely the company will be taking every single precaution to nullify that potential. It may take up to 5 years to know for sure if that type of side effect is occuring but likely the company won’t be held up for 5 years waiting. I don’t know how long the FDA will want to observe them before allowing phase 3/approval, ,maybe 3 years? I’m certain the FDA will not make Stemson wait 10 years before it makes a desision. The biggest issue will be efficacy, if Stemson can grow hairs that grow in moderately accurate growing angles, then they will push forward and as long as all of the histological examinations show that no irregular cell growth is happening they should be good to go.

          • Thanks for the detailed reply, admin. The reason I ask if that process will take such a long time is because I read an article on CRISPR about genetic diseases and how it showed improvement in patients but it said that the patients would have to be monitored for the next 15 years in order to fully observe all the side effects and benefits of the treatment they were given. Do you believe that stemson, and tsuji – and all the stem cell cloning companies – are in the same range for understanding the efficacy and sides of their treatments? Also, you think that Stemson will be out before the decade ends? I know that it’s impossible to predict that right now but just as an educated, logistical guess.

            Thx

          • I don’t think so Greg, I don’t think those treatments would have to be monitored for 15 years to fully observe the side effects of those treatments. As I said before if Stemson can grow hair and in a mostly correct growing angle, and there are no immediate major adverse events (side effects) I think it absolutely would be out before the decade ends. 2026-2028 seems like a ripe guess at this time.

          • Hi Admin, the efficacy shouldn’t be a problem – as stated by Stemson they can grow hair almost infinitely, and they figured out a stable mass production. The accurate growing angles is more of technical issue which they want to solve with nylon threads (or something similar like micro-scaffolds, I cannot remember exactly).

The question is more, what are the regulations for cell-trials in the US? Like if they start in early 2021, they should know within a couple of months if it works – there can’t be something like “it works a little”, imho there is only yes or no; this does not work like a medicine, with different ‘recipes’, strengths, dosages, delivery-methods, etc. And if it works, what’s next? A second trial with the same procedure? And a third trial with the same procedure? Doesn’t make sense to me…and if the first trial ist successful, how long do they have to follow up the patients? 2 years? 5 years?

Allergan wants to be on the market as fast as possible, that’s why they have their own experts for trials and regulations who work for the Stemson project. I am pretty sure they will figure out a way for the quickest route to commercialisation. This could also mean they do the trial in Japan.

They also know that identical projects are running already for quite some time. The iPSC-approach is also done by Shiseido and Tsuji. Tsuji allegedly started his human trials last year. That would mean they are 2 years ahead, plus the much easier market-regulations in Japan would give Tsuji a lead of many years.

I personally think a cell-based-solution will only happen in Japan, at least in the next 3 years. They are so far ahead, and the partnership with Kyocera is a big advantage. Plus, as said, the market approval in Japan is as what I would say, “brutally liberal” for cell-based-treatments. Which is probably good for us sufferers. Japan is under a lot of criticism for the new laws, especially in other fields of medicine which are much more important than hair regeneration.

  25. Will Jon Knight stay in contact with you? And will he tell you if he find a new company for doing trial?

    • Jon Knight will stay in contact and will let us know if he finds a new company for the trial. We just don’t know when that might be for now.

      • Are there any other details on this “unnamed La based company” you mentioned earlier @admin? I don’t recall seeing anything written about them before this.

        Thanks!

        • Hi Tracto, there’s not really other details at the moment. The company has a very interesting hair growth topical in their pipeline, but they are busy working on other projects. They have asked me not to publicize anything about them until the product is going to be launched. However, there is also a chance that they will not follow through on the hair project. I’ve seen one set of photos on an older man, NW7 and he had some new regrowth from the product at about 2+ months of use. I consider it very promising, but would like to see more examples of results. If they could show even one other example of a good result I’d say the product is more promising than most of the drug candidates in the hair growth pipeline currently. Not saying it’s a miracle, but it seems pretty good.

          • Dimitri, according to the company the product has gone through some clinical trials. These were smaller trials that were not listed on FDA.gov because it’s only a cosmetic product. I want to see the results from the trials.

          • @Follice Thought Why would they tell you and then let you say anymore? Why just not tell you? Also, do you know what timeline they are working on/potential release date?

          • D1, basically I was talking to them leading up to their potential release (like I do with other companies once in a while) and it looked like the product would be preparing for release soon or at least announcing itself as a prospective product, then the officer at the company I was speaking to told me they are having a delay now and he was not sure when they would be back on track for release. (they are tending to other company products/therapies like I mentioned) So, basically things are left in limbo for the time being. I’m sure a big investor could get the company to move forward faster.

  26. http://www.theraderm.co.kr/product/product2.htm
There is a company called Theraderm With their Biocell Hair Serum which is adipose derived stem cell protein treatment. The average amount of regrowth was 20% and 20% increase in hair shaft thickness over the course of 12 weeks. Some of those men had up to 50% increase.
It’s available for sale i thing
Does anyone know more about this?

    • Are there before/after Pictures? Sounds like the Histogen HSC product which shows as marketed but I have not seen where I can order it.

      • Hey Yoda, got a rogaine question for you. As you know I’ve been using foam for over 6 years now. I was using the same foam bottle for about 4 months. It ran out and I bought a new a month ago. I noticed that my hair has diffused quite a bit in this time frame. Do you think the new foam bottle kick started a shed? The previous bottle lost effectiveness since I used it for 4 months. I also use liquid minox compounded with fin. Been using that for 4 yrs. Never had this type of quick diffusion before. What do you think is going on? I switched from brand name nizoral 2% to generic since brand name got discontinued back in Sept. Do you think the generic isn’t effective at blocking dht and this is to blame? They both have the same active ingredient.

        • Mjones, I don’t think it’s any of the factors you mentioned. I’m pretty darn certain the 4 month foam didn’t loose effectiveness and the the new one was far more potent and caused a shed. I also don’t think that Nizoral (brand/generic) is the culprit, it’s pretty weak stuff. I only use it to make sure my scalp is in good condition.
          My feeling is that:
          A. You are overly focused on your hair loss and seeing mirages. It’s happens to the best of us.
          B. Your advancing age is causing your hair loss genes to ramp up their efforts to fight treatments and bring you to your predisposed lot in life, aka baldness.
          C. I believe (but not sure) you’ve hopped around on various compounded or non-standard minoxidil concoctions ( e.g.formula 82M, Murray Ave, etc). Doing this can certainly cause shedding.
          D. A combination of the above.
What are you using besides the foam? For how long? I hesitate to give advice, even though Yoda is freakin brilliant I’m not a medical doctor. However my Derm (who’s more knowledgeable than the majority of docs) is impressed with my knowledge and refers to me as Dr. XXX (insert my real name for the XXX).

          • Yoda I think its B. My age causing more androgen sensitivity. My hair line has def gone up. I always check the same mirror under the same lighting every 6 months. My right side temple hairline area has receded another good inch since the summer. I really want to get an fue for the hairline a solid 700 grafts would do wonders since my hair strands are very coarse and thick. I’ve been on the same compound minox fin for 4 years. Foam for 6 years and propecia since 2002. Have you done fue ?

  27. MJ, no I haven’t done FUE and probably won’t unless things change for me. Presently I’m satisfied enough with my hair and hoping for future new treatments in the next few years. I had two small sessions ( I think only 300 grafts) of FUT close to 30 years ago, I started to panic when 5% minoxidil stopped doing the trick. However, shortly thereafter the option of fin became available and I also discovered Dr. Lee/Xandrox which gave me many years of happy, healthy hair. Unfortunately with Dr. Lee’s demise I had to hop around to various minoxidil concoctions, finally have found a source that I think is almost, if not as good. Also, had to abandon fin for dut as choice “B” was catching up with my efforts to save my hair. Oral minox has been another shot in the arm, or head I guess.

    • Yoda,

You say that fin and Dr Lee / Xandrax gave you years of happy, healthy hair.

What is Dr Kee / Xandrax? Did fin give you any thickening or regrowth?

      至于未来的治疗,哪些是你optimistic about?

      • Hey Paul, Dr. Lee was an MD that specialized in compounded minoxidil solutions, typically higher strength with added “goodies” like fin. His solutions contained some of the same ingredients as others that were/are available but I truly believe they penetrated better resulting in superior performance. Unfortunately Dr. Lee made some prescribing errors with finasteride and one of his patients used this to extort money from him, ultimately he was shut down by the FDA close to 10 years ago.
Yoda is wise (aka old) but does not have a crystal ball for future treatments. I’m most optimistic about (next gen incremental) ones that have the most near-term potential, e.g. Follica, Samumed, etc. I believe cloning, cell based, ones like Riken, Replicel/Shiseido, etc. are a ways out.

        • Sorry, also Fin did give me regrowth/thickening back in the day…now not so much. Same with Dut which I switched to about 3 years ago. However, without an anti androgen you will continue to lose hair and any growth stimulation from minoxidil will be limited. Not just because your losing hair but the DHT will strangle your follicles blunting growth effects.

          • Yda what is the name of the new compound minox you use now? Did your fut give good results

  28. MJ, I’m using products by Follics and Regrowth Labs. These are compounded in the US but available from a source located outside of the US. Won’t provide the name of the website I get them from unless the Admin is ok with that. I bet you can do a bit of Googling and find it for yourself. My FUT was fine, other transplant docs indicated that it was a good job. However, this wasn’t the hairline, maybe 1/3 back behind it. My feeling is that if I ever did a hairline transplant I might see mirages, aka fixate on it. Not to say that if I ever got to that point I wouldn’t go for it. I would seek out the best, it’s something you’ll spend the rest of your life with.

    • Yoda, you can share the link, if anything temporarily, with Mjones here no problem.

Also, never knew you did a transplant back in the day. That’s interesting. Glad that it has all held together nicely for you over the years.

      • Admin, I’ll post the link and you guys can check out. I’ve been hesitant to share my source as I didn’t want to much publicity and they end up like Dr. Lee. They told me that they aren’t worried about that, I hope they’re right! Possibly you can “partner” with them, if your interested I can make the introduction, I have a pretty good report with them. Yes, two very small transplant sessions (can’t remember if it was 300 grafts each or 300 total), Dr. DeYarman in San Diego in about 1993, FUT “lateral slit method”. I panicked when things started to go south fast. Fortunately Dr. Lee and finasteride saved my hair shortly thereafter and no more transplants were/have been necessary.

  29. Thank you yoda. I’ll google them. Yeah my hairline is taking a beating. My family says it’s not bad and only I can tell. I believe them since nobody outside of my family has made a comment. Still I see it getting worse by the month. Hopefully follica comes out soon. Whst Norwood are you? Were you thinning on top and thr fut filled it in?

  30. MJ, sounds like you have a bit of choice A “mirages”, based on what others are saying…or not saying to you. Guess I’d say I’m a Norwood II, I have thick, course hair, mostly thinning behind the hair line in a “U” shape. I’m not all that concerned about temples (although I would love to have them fill in), I have a pretty normal hairline for a old guy. I used to be able to style my hair a bit forward and it gave the illusion of a more youthful hairline. Those days are gone, I have to comb straight back now. Back 2/3’s of head is very thick and full.
Admin gave his blessing on posting the website where I get me minox
I’m using the FR-10 with Bimatoprost, in the AM. Had also been using the FR-12 and previously the FR-15 for PM but am going to switch to 7HP. I’m a big believer in higher strength minox, Dr. Lee indicated that Minox is “dose dependent”. However, since I’m on oral minox I don’t think I need as high a strength topically these days and am more interested in the other “goodies” in the formulas, e.g Bimatoprost, Dutasteride, etc. Mind you, none of this stuff is a silver bullet and will bring back your juvenile hairline. However, I believe these are quality products have novel ingredients with good penetration, also easy to use as opposed to creams, lotions, etc.
Which compounded minox have you been using for 4 years? Bet Yoda has tried it!

    • Interesting website, are all those formulas legit Yoda? Minoxidil/Bimatoprost, topical Fin, topical Dut?

      • Admin, while Yoda is not a chemist I believe these products are made with quality ingredients and manufactured to high standards, GMP, etc. Not the cheapest cost nor the most expensive. However, we don’t really know if topical Bimatoprost, Minoxidil Sulfate, do any good. I can’t speak to their topical Dut, I will be ordering it in the 7% Minox solution in the next few weeks. While the % of Dut in the 7% Minox is less I’m trying to cut down on applying topicals from 3 times a day to the conventional 2 times a day (by eliminating RU). If I don’t get enough juice from the Dut in the 7% I’ll add their standalone topical Dut into the mix. Hope this is clear and helpful.

  31. @Follicle Thought this is frustrating, so you possibly rate this way up there and its a cosmetic (ie easy to release)? They must have some big priorities to overlook this

    • The way it looks from the first result, the product seems very promising. I’ll share the photo soon. However, I would really like to see one more additional result to say that the product looks epic. I imagine they do have some priorities, but mostly lack of resources to cover all projects, so they focus on non-aesthetic indications first. There could be more issues along the way to releasing it than I am aware of, but my impression is that it would be fairly simple to market the product as a cosmetic.

      • @Follice Thought you should offer to find them a big investor (and then charge a fee for broking the deal)

          • Ha, I think the idea is actually pretty good Yoda, it all depends on how approachable and ethical the company is. Of course you can’t make demands on these companies, but ones that want to work with you make great potential partners. Anyone looking to invest $5 mil into a hair growth product?

        • D1, I wish there were some investors savvy enough and interested in hair enough to make an investment. I think I could show them some very interesting opportunities.

    • Thanks Lisa, very ambitious! We don’t even need a super billionaire, a regular billionaire would do the job.

  32. Tell them to try to contact Ewopharma etc. They will help them with the investment to deliver the product on the markets.

    • The thing is they are not looking for help to do the product, they are content. If someone came knocking on the door with a proposal that would be a different story.

      • I have some contacts in pharmacy industry. I will ask around if there is any interest in investing. Once I will have at least some positive feedback or some interest I will let you know and hopefully we could set some contact between them. However with just one picture it will be hard to make a deal. Still, worth trying.

        • Thanks Janko, very cool. I’m fairly certain the company has much more data internally than the 1 photo set I received.

          • Have you contacted the company for more photos or any update as to what their current plan is?

          • Yes, Dimitri. The officer I spoke with told me he wanted to wait until they were ready to release a full report (i.e. didn’t want to give me anymore single photos until everything is ready to go) and the last thing he said to me is that he will update me once they start going on the hair project again. That was a few months ago. I think they will not give up on the project, but I also think it would be very fortunate if he gets back to me in 2020.

    • I have used a laser cap and went to a hair clinic and used their laser treatment for over a year. I had no results really. Maybe the healthy hair was healthier but no new hair growth. Hope this helps.

        • MJ, I used 82M at one point after Dr. Lee, I wasn’t impressed. It’s probably a quality product and the addition of the F in 82F (Finasteride) will help. However, for me 5% Minoxidil doesn’t cut it, especially before I added oral Minox. Prior to that anything less than 15% was like bringing a plastic butter knife to a gunfight!

  33. Yoda. Did you get any visible regrowth when moving up to 10% minox. I see a 7% minox from minox site but it doesn’t have fin in it. I don’t want to use 82f and that 7% minox. Would I shed if I move to 7% but still use the 5% in the morning?

  34. Dude, I have no idea if you’d shed but it’s possibly if not probable with the introduction of any new treatment…no pain no gain. The have a 7% with Dut in it. You need to pick the treatments that would work best for you. Since your not on oral minox I’d go with 15% minox at in the am with the 7 minox with dut in the pm, that’s just me though. If you want to avoid a shed then you’ll probably just loose hair the good old fashioned way!

  35. Minoxidil is dose dependent, more is better to a degree. If your on oral fin I’d consider switching to Dut. If your adverse to that I’d try upping your dose, I thing going from 1.25mg to 2.5 mg may have been helping me but I decided to take the Dut challenge…er, um I mean plunge!

  36. 我想添加dermaroll政权try and get regrowth. I have longer hair about three inches long all over the top but diffusing. Can’t see scalp but want to thicken it up before it’s too late as I’m losing ground. Should I get a roller or stamp? Not looking to wound but to copy dhurat study and roll lightly to increase collagen and growth factors by making scalp pink from bloodflow.

    • 我每隔一周derminator并使用它at 1.75 mm. However, can’t say I’d recommend it, not sure that it’s much better than a roller. I also roll with a 1mm every few days mostly to enhance absorption. I’m skeptical that any of this DIY rolling at home has much of an impact, if any. That being said, go for a roller over a stamp, I’ve tried both.

  37. 其他人觉得新闻significa去世ntly since the new year? I don’t mean this website specifically, but just news in the hair loss world in general? What’s up with that?

    • Big L you are right, I see that too. There are much less News or Storys since 2-3 months. Before every week at least 1 or 2 amazing News, discoveries or Pipelines. But Maybe its the calm before the storm! think positive.

      • I’m hoping for some meaningful news and hopefully “a stream” of news to roll in as well John. Maybe Spring time will be good for us.

    • I agree Big L, the news does seem slower now, I think partly due to the deceleration from from J Hewitt in 2020 which was a big highlight at the end of last year. I’m still working hard as always to get some info from the meaningful players in the industry currently. One thing to consider is that typically up to 2-3 companies typically show up every year as newcomers which is exciting. Recently, we’ve seen Exicure (with backing from Allergan) come into the game. I would be excited by any newcomers in 2020 because the starting points of their technology would be way ahead of previous attempts like Replicel etc.

      • Good point admin, and John. There’s bound to be ups and downs when it comes to the stream of news we get. Admin can only write about the news as it’s made available. Regardless I think we have the hardest working admin in the world of hair loss sites ?. Always appreciated

      • Admin, you think that the general way in which things are moving along in the industry now – like Exicure – are better than in Replicel’s “hey day” – like in 2014/15 because there is more data and interest? Like you think the “vibe” of the industry is better now?

  38. Yoda- I still coverage on top. I’ll buy the roller 1mm. I would have to use it when my hair is flat down wet in the shower so it won’t tangle in the needles. My goal is to lightly roll in my thinning zones till mild redness. I use a small needle now and it definitely helps when parts of my scalp gets inflamed. I prickle the scalp with a sewing needle lightly and thr pain goes away. I def think my thinning is dur to underlying inflammation and obviously dht.

    • From what I understand DHT causes the inflammation. I never had it for almost 40 years of hair loss until about 5 years ago, then itchy, sensitive and huge, ugly flakes. The Ordinary multi peptide hair serum and Ducray Kelual D5 shampoo has helped quite a bit. I recommend not cheaping out on your roller, get a good one, like from the company that makes the derminator or the DR Roller. Seems like hair get’s less tangled up than with a cheapo.

      • Now I see why they call you Yoda! I had never even heard of Ducray before. I looked on their website and am curious now. I also just started to use the Ordinary multi peptide this week.

So I have quite a few questions I am hoping you can help answer Yoda. Has the Ordinary product and the Ducray shampoo helped with just the itchiness or does it help with preventing hair loss as well? I am currently using a prescription strength ketoconozole shampoo. Does the Ducray shampoo serve the same purpose as ketoconozole or is there an added benefit? Have you tried Ducray’s neuropeptide spray? It sounds interesting but is pricey, so am wondering what is the efficacy.

        • They call me Yoda cuz I’m old!
The Ordinary and Dulcray are for itch, scalp health, etc. As far as the effect on hair loss, slim to none. The Ordinary might give some cosmetic thickening of the hair. It states that it has ingredients to address hair loss, DHT, etc. Possibly this is true for someone with mild, early stage hair loss. I’m assuming you’re female, it might have a better chance than for a dude but my guess is a slim chance at best. Keto addresses fungus and it may have mild anti-DHT properties, different than Dulcray, I’d rotate the two. Haven’t tried the neuropeptide spray, not planning to, Yoda already dumps enough concoctions on his noggin. Female hair loss can be different than male, have you had a diagnosis from a dermatologist that specializes in this field? If not, do your research to find the best in your location, most don’t know jack about hair loss.

          • 谢谢你的回复尤达!是的,我有去签订eral dermatologists and have been told to just use Minoxodil. I haven’t tried it yet, as I have read there could be some serious side effects affecting blood pressure and also there may be major shed at first and that the results are minimal or possibly none for some, so haven’t rolled the dice on it yet since I am afraid I will just be left with even less after the shed.

Mine is related to hormonal imbalances at Menopause ?, so I am now looking into bioidentical hormone replacement, but like you said it is difficult finding a good doctor. Most dermatologists just give you the standard go to Minoxodil recommendation. I had asked about spironolactone, but the doctor said she doesn’t recommend it, as it could cause serious medical issues, so it isn’t worth it to try. The possibility of serious medical issues is the reason I have not moved forward yet with many of the treatments.

  39. Can follicle thought page leave a page that has a list of products that hit the market already and give a brief description on how they work or if they even worked

    • Richard, yes I can do this in the near future, thanks for the suggestion. For now, are you familiar with minoxidil and finasteride?

        • Bimatorprost is not too bad Yoda. It’s got some efficacy science behind it.

          • Yeah, but how much effect we really don’t know as Allergan suspended the clinical testing. And this from a guy that’s using it in one of my topical minox formulations…me! My guess from my experience is that it does have some effect on thickening existing hair and growth stimulation.

          • True it has not been released in an official product. Some people source it online and make their own formulations etc.

    • 丽莎,而尤达太聪明,他不是一个medical doctor. However, I’d jump on topical minox if I were you. The chance of any appreciable side effects from this OTC medication are slim to none. You can monitor you BP to see if it has an effect which I highly doubt. That is unless you are one of those people that thinks about sides and gets most all of them, real or imagined. Since you are in the menopause stage anti androgens like finasteride may also be an option. Spironolactone can work well for females. While for fin and spir I think oral is best if you worry about sides they are available in topical form. But don’t go on Yoda’s wisdom, do your research and find a specialist to consult with, if even out of your area. They may do a consult by Skype or even if you have to travel it will probably be worth it.

      • Thank you for the wisdom Yoda! Reading your posts about your experience is encouraging. I will give Minox a try and really hope it works.

One last question if you don’t mind. Should I be searching for a general endocrinologist or do hair transplant doctors also provide hormone balancing treatments specifically related to hair? The transplant doctors are what seems to always show up in my search, but I am assuming they are only interested in treating via surgery.

        • Wisdom from Yoda, who would’ve thought? Lisa, it’s hard to find a doc that actually knows what they are talking about in regards to hair loss treatments. Most, but not all transplant docs are going to tell you about finasteride, Rogaine and/or up-sell you on a transplant. Most derms also only know the standard treatments . I really haven’t heard about endocrinologist knowing much about hair loss treatments, not to say that they don’t. Have you tried searching the American Academy of Dermatologyhttps://www.aad.org/? It’s been a while but I did this once for a local friend to find a doc that seemed to know something about treatments in the area. Another option is to contact the office of the guy who got me started on hair loss treatments in the 80’s for min and the 90’s for fin. DR. PETER PANAGOTACOShttps://hairdoc.com/I’ve moved on from him and the standard , off the shelf treatments but he is still probably one of the knowledgeable hair loss docs in the country. Not sure where your located, he’s in San Francisco but maybe they can do a skype consultation. Good luck! Also, in regards to Minoxidil shed, I had minor sheds but nothing too bad. although I imagine this varies from person to person. It will always seem worse to you, ride it out, no pain no gain. If you decide to move forward before seeing a medical professional, in your situation I’d hop on 2% minoxidil for 3-6 months then if you want some more juice move up to 5% and see how it goes. However, it’s very likely you’ll also have to address the root cause of your hair loss (DHT, hormonal, etc.) to see any real benefit.

          • Many thanks Yoda! I happen to live in the San Francisco area, so will try to get in touch with that doc. Hope he is still practicing.

  40. 嘿,管理员,我编写了一个冗长的回复丽莎的追求ions above, when I hit the send button it disappeared. Did it go into “moderation” or did it get lost with a technical glitch? I don’t think there was anything controversial.

    • Yoda, it didn’t go into moderation but was recognized as Spam for some reason. I got it out of there for you! I think even Spam filter is looking for some news in the industry.

      • Yoda or anyone else with longer hair. Would a derma stamp be easier to use for someone like me nw2 diffuse but longer hair. Is a stamp less effective than rolling when it comes to the scalp for the Indian study?

        • Mjones, I already addressed this above when you asked previously. Hit the page up key!

      • Thanks admin, you’re the best! I can see where a spam filter thinks what Yoda is spouting off about is junk!

    • 丽莎,惊人的巧合。P医生是两个医生之一s responsible for a guy in loosing his hair in his early 20’s still having a decent amount of hair at 57. I used to live in the east bay, saw him on the local news in the early to mid 80’s talking about a new hair loss med coming out called Minoxidil. I made an appointment and he got me on 2% compounded minox before Upjohn commercially released it. Also the same with 5% and finasteride, he was a lifesaver. As I said, I’ve moved on and probably haven’t seen him in over 20 years but think he might be perfect for your situation. Please keep me posted on how it goes.

      • Oh wow, he sounds like a good doc. Will do. I am glad to hear he was able to help you maintain.

        • 同样的,如果你去请检查,看看他有什么new treatments he’s prescribing besides what he has on his website. Besides the off the shelf minox and fin I see has offers some minx compounded with fairly common additives. If Dr. P has anything else more cutting edge I’d love to learn about it, I imagine the admin and all readers would as well.

          • Yoda,
So I went to see Dr P and he seemed annoyed every time I asked a question so I stopped at some point and did not ask about new developments. I will have a follow up in a few months, so will ask then. I am to use his minox blend, a Korean shampoo (procrinix) and dutasteride. He also mentioned a laser cap was successful, but not the kind you get from Costco, He said those don’t work because not enough diodes.

Really kind of afraid of the shed. Has anyone experienced heavy shedding from dutasteride? Anyone care to share their experience with dutasteride? Worked! Didn’t work?

    • Admin, this is the first time I’ve read about Bimatorprost. I did some research on it, but I thought I’d see what you guys say!

Does anyone use it? Is it any good for diffuse thinners? Is it just topical? Any bad side effects?

      • Paul, I don’t use it but would be interested to hear from those who do. It’s most likely not as good as minoxidil at growing hair, but could give minoxidil a “boost” when used together. It is just topical and I have not heard of much side effects.

    • 它绝对可以标记t in 2021, 2020 seems unlikely unless progress moves very fast. At this time it does not seem like progress is steamrolling ahead, hence the scientist at Guiliani I was speaking has been a bit quiet lately.

        • I was referring to a Wnt topical product relating to the WAY-316606 analog or similar for 2021.

          • It’s a cosmetic, which still requires trials from a reputable company like Giuliani. This will also help create deserved hype and anticipation for the product if they can show good trial results before launch.

  41. @Follicle Thought this is all painfully slow! someone needs to get something out in 2020/early 2021

    • I hear where you’re coming from, better slow than stopped I guess.

If only a few very wealthy people wanted to get involved and cure this thing.

      • @Follicle Thought. If you could find out where they are with this

        • Perhaps sometime in Spring they will allow me another update, let’s hope.

  42. Nice result picture. By the way, has anybody experienced the rekze laboratories treatment. Picrures on ther site look similary amazing. But sice there is no article on follicle thought its hard to make a decision)

    • Hi Stephan, I looked up the ingredients and the product does not contain minoxidil but has some interesting ingredients. I would be surprised if it could create meaningful hair growth. Also, I noticed the pictures were slightly blurring with lighting variances.

  43. With the coronavirus epidemic progressing the way it is, is it going to have an effect on these companies’ plans???

    • Anna, yes it is likely there may be some minor delays incurred by several companies. If they remain vigilant with their plans it is likely they can still achieve their goals in similar timelines.

  44. Hi,
it is possible this will be on market this year?
Anyway can we expect any similar powerful cure (based on photos) this year?

    • Den, I believe it’s technically possible to be on the market this year but would have to be in a specific country.
