New Company: Triple Hair

Follicle Thought is pleased to present an exclusive look at a newcomer in the hair loss treatment industry, Triple Hair of Canada.

Triple Hair’s Story

Triple Hair was founded by Dr. Houfar Sekhavat, an opthalmologist based in Moncton, Canada. It was Dr. Sekhavat’s own experience with androgenic alopecia which lead him to seek out a superior formulation for preventing hair loss and regrowing hair. After reviewing scientific literature on the subject, Dr. Sekhavat teamed up a local pharmacist, Dr. Ford, to test a new topical formulation using two of the well known anti-hair loss drugs and a third that was more obscure. After testing different concentrations and combinations, the team identified “TH07” as the ideal formula.

I recently caught up with the Triple Hair team to get more information on the molecules used in TH07 (which have not been disclosed online until now) and other company endeavors. Below, I will take a deeper look at the Triple Hair company including some Q&A’s I completed with them.

Triple Hair TH07, TH16, &More

FT: Can you tell us more about the 3 drugs in TH07 and how the company
chose them for the formula?

Triple Hair: There are over 80 million people suffering from hair loss in the United States and androgenetic alopecia accounts for greater than 90% of hair loss incidents. Androgenic Alopecia is a multifactorial disease and no single molecule can address the different pathways involved in the etiology, which is primarily due to hormone metabolism and excessive response to androgens. Therefore, the androgen receptor remains an important target for a safe and effective treatment.
The motivation behind Triple Hair is to redefine the market by launching the first new treatment for alopecia in over 40 years with TH07. Demonstrating the efficacy and safety profile in a phase 3 clinical trial will drive significant uptake of TH07 and fill a large unmet need for patients.

Scientific Rationale and Synergies
Topical finasteride provides localized treatment for hair loss with reduced systemic adverse events. Many studies have shown similar therapeutic effects when compared to the 1mg tablet form. Finasteride decreases dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and upregulates SULT1A1 which activates the pro-drug of minoxidil into its active form – minoxidil sulfate.

米诺地尔是钾通道阻滞剂initially developed for the treatment of hypertension. Hypertrichosis was noted as a side effect of treatment and the product was repurposed as a hair loss therapy. It acts by widening the blood vessels which allows more oxygen, blood and nutrients to follicles thus promoting the anagen phase. Minoxidil increases prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which increases prostaglandin F2 alpha (PGF2a).

PGF2a类似物显示积极的刺激effects on hair follicles and also stimulate conversion from telogen to anagen phase within 7 days. Furthermore, PGF2a analogues increase insulin growth factor 1 (IGF-1), which inhibits hair cell apoptosis and maintains the anagen phase. TH07 contains a patented topical formulation of minoxidil, finasteride and a PGF2a analogue. We have completed a proof of concept phase two clinical trial which showed the overall treatment effect of TH07 was 100% of patients experienced hair regrowth versus 50% regrowth for finasteride versus 25% regrowth for minoxidil. The results are summarized in the tables below:

Triple Hair is also developing a formula called TH16 which is planned to launch as a natural consumer product into the Canadian marketplace in Q1 2021. The product consists of two natural ingredients. A randomized, double blind clinical trial showed that the overall treatment effect of TH16 was better than the comparative monotherapies. The results are shown in the table below:

FT:I read on your website about one of the Triple Hair products making
hair appear a bit darker, can you elaborate on this?

Triple Hair:The darkening of hair was an observation from our phase 2 clinical trial, is likely due to the PGF2a analogue in our formulation and the synergistic effects of minoxidil and finasteride. The manifestation of PGF2a analogues includes increased hair growth andpigmentation.

FT:Ideally, when will TH07 be approved for marketing in Canada and US?

Triple Hair:We are planning to begin a pivotal phase 3 study in Q3 2021 and are actively seeking partnerships with big pharma for the global launch of the product. (Editor’s note: If a phase 3 were to begin in Q3 2021, an estimated market release is in the range of Q2 2023.)

Commentary And Links

For those of you looking for more information on PGF2a analogues, a quick visit to Wikipedia will reveal that two examples of these drugs are Latanoprost and Bimatoprost. Both have been used experimentally for hair loss in the past, with Bimatoprost even entering major hair growth clinical trials with Allergan. We can be almost certain that the third ingredient in TH07 is either Bimatoprost or Latanoprost, with a slight edge to Bimatoprost.

While the new flagship drug of Triple Hair contains ingredients we have seen before, the idea of combining them and using them synergistically in a topical formula is progressive and commendable. The concept of combining known ingredients is natural and thankfully this startup has taken the initiative to actually get it done.

A point I would like to emphasize here is I believe Triple Hair is setting an important example to the industry and I hope others will take note. Pattern hair loss has proven to be difficult to treat and it isunlikely that any single moleculewill produce significant hair loss prevention / hair regrowth on its own. We can see in the photos that TH07 is capable of some worthwhile regrowth. The idea of combining multiple molecules that act on different mechanisms makes a lot of sense and I believe the future of hair growth medicines will be based on combination formulas.

An interesting bonus tidbit about Triple Hair, the company has two other molecules in itspipeline– “TH0c” and “THcb1”. TH0c has even completed a phase 1 study. A corporate presentation of Triple Hair from March 2020 is availablehere. I hope you’ve all enjoyed this article and feel free to leave your feedback below.

  1. I’m glad to have this news for you all at such a time in the industry and the world. I hope everyone is doing well. Thanks to Triple Hair for sharing this exclusive info with the readers of Follicle Thought. As always its appreciated that you cite Follicle Thought if sharing the news.

  2. Admin, if I’ve understood this correctly, this is just a compounded version of topical finasteride + minoxidil?

    • No, that’s incorrect. Article mentions minoxidil + topical fin + PGF2a analogue (either Bimatoprost or Latanoprost) The combined synergy is proposed to create better results than the 3 drugs used separately.

  3. I love the sound of this new product, but I have had permanent side effects from Propecia, so I’d be afraid to try it again, even if it is just on my scalp and not a pill.

    • Tom, are your side effects from topical or oral, and what age did you get on it? (If you’re comfortable sharing that)

      • Hi Greg, I started Propecia when it first came on the market…I think around 1997. I was 19 at the time. I took it for about 11 years. The side effects actually got worse after I stopped taking it. I’m finally beginning to see some improvements 12 years after stopping it, but I’m definitely not back to 100%.

        • If you’re talking “sexual” side effects, it could simply be age. Not sure what “100%” means.

          • 哦,不,这些问题肯定不是gradual effects that come with aging. This was more like a complete shutdown within a couple of months.

        • Did you try anything to get better in that time span? Chlomid, HCG,…? Tribulus,…?

          • 是的,所有这些,然后一些。我去了一个doctor that specializes in PFS (post finasteride syndrome) patients. He had a lot of different things to try, but he said it’s very hit or miss. Some patients see some improvements and some are even much worse off than me.

  4. Thanks for your work!
Unfortunately this will most likely have the common side effects, even when used as a topical, so im not willing to use it. The results do look good though.

  5. Thanks for the update admin! Interesting indeed, any idea if topical finasteride is already available? Thanks

  6. Will this make TH16 the first fda product to be released for angrogenic alopecia since minoxidil?

    • Dimitri, TH16 will be an OTC/cosmetic product.

        • No, rogaine is minoxidil. TH16 is 2 natural ingredients and T.H. is additionally going to sell a version with minoxidil mixed in also.

  7. i swear there was a study that finasteride goes systematic when applied topically

    • It’s true that topical finasteride still comes with some risk of side effects, I think Triple Hair may reword the sentence.

  8. the TH16 is quite interesting, was hoping that Guiliani could do something similar

  9. Would a female have any side effects from trying this product when it comes to market. I for one would like to give it a go…

    • Hi Tina, which product are you referring to? TH07 is not intended for women because of topical finasteride but there are cases that doctors will prescribe topical finasteride to women as well.

  10. Nice scoop admin! Not super excited at this point, seems like existing biotechnology wrapped up in a tried, true package. Slightly evolutionary and a long time to market, but we’ll take what we can get. Who knows, if this is released in three years we could still be waiting and waiting and waiting for anything else more evolutionary, let alone revolutionary, to come to market.

    • Thanks Yoda! I realize you have most of these ingredients in your regimen for a long time, but there are a lot of younger guys and/or newcomers who will appreciate the packaged topical product and inclusion of extra stimulator like Latanoprost/Bim when it comes to market. Combining this with microneedling / dermaroller seems like a big hit for sure.

  11. Nel 2023 rilasciato ? Mi sembra ancora troppo lontano !! Speriamo che ci sia qualcosa prima!! Grazie comunque admin

    • Perhaps if the company finds a partner sooner they can begin trials sooner. Maybe can begin a trial in Q1 2021 which would have the release date in 2022. These are the purposes of doing the article that they can connect with industry partners. I will ask more about this when I talk to Triple Hair representative again.

      • True KD, also some call a product a failure before trials have started or concluded, while others count their chickens before they’re hatched. It’s an odd world sometimes, I’ve always found middle ground to be the best place. Although some would argue that’s boring, I like it just fine, for you Seinfeld fans, “Even Steven”!

  13. blah blah blah… we’ve all heard this before many a time – you can find templates for such miracle cures on google – group of Dr’s discover something groundbreaking, kept it secret, now releasing it, it’s going to be amazing but wait another 5 years. Anyone remember Dr. Brotzu with his ‘lotion’ and the fantastic disappointment it turned out to be….

What we need is something which has been developed, mass tested with proven significant results. Not something ‘groundbreaking’ which is just a formulation of existing prescription drugs tested on just 29 or 40 subjects! (that’s worse than the ‘79% of 14 women agree’ claims on make up commercials). And their 6 before & after pics – really?

The more of these I come across the more I’m convinced the people involved are only interested into springboarding themselves into a comfy six figure salary with fat annual bonus for life in a top pharma company which will have them and their ‘amazing’ discovery to chip away at the $12.4bn hair loss market.

人偶然发现或开发一个真正的混乱关系atment or cure will put their time & effort into proving it and treating people and documenting the process and results. Not producing corporate presentations. A proven working treatment will bring the corporate giants knocking at your door.

    • All due respect to your opinion Mark, but this isn’t really labeled as groundbreaking, it’s just an improvement on existing options. Also doesn’t really compare to Brotzu because Brotzu used natural ingredients and TH07 uses 3 drugs that we know beyond doubt to grow hair, 2 moreso than the third, yet the whole point is to combine their use simultaneously and get a benefit. As far as mass testing goes, 2/3rds of this drug are beyond mass tested and Bimatoprost has definitely showed promising results on its own in the past. Also, 5 years?

    • Mark, well said! Of course, being in agreement with you will get my comments removed by the administrator. If I don’t share the enthusiasm for a product that doesn’t seem highly promising, I am deemed negative and censor worthy!

      • Actually C it’s just I am bored of your comments, they are a bit repetitive now, no matter what the news is. Take a little break from the comments and come back later maybe, also consider helping out through Patreon.

        • I looked into this Joseph, is it possible to contribute once at a time without a reoccurring monthly charge? I found that to be prohibitive in my mind.

          • Yoda, the way it works is you can sign up for a “monthly” donation but can cancel your account once your first pledge has gone through. You receive a confirmation email as soon as you are charged your first time unlike with most subscriptions, so it is very simple to cancel and make it a one-time pledge. Moreso, I am able to refund or cancel pledges as well, so it is ensured you will only pay the one time fee if that’s what you choose to do. Thanks for asking!

          • I received your one-time donation on Patreon, Yoda. Much appreciated, thanks very much.

  14. This compound is already available from some clinics in the United States. I received it from McGrath Medical in Austin Texas. I did unfortunately get the typical side effects from finasteride. I would be really interested to try a version of this with just Minoxidil and PGF2a, no finasteride.

    • I like the idea of Minox + Bimatoprost too, J! So, Mcgrath is selling a formula with Bimatoprost in it?

    • Hello J,
Can you please tell me what is the side effect of topical fin?
Is it same as with oral medicine?

      • Side effects vary from person to person however I feel the the reports of this on the internet are overblown, according to the actual data. There are people that get side effects just because they are known to exist. I’ve been using topical fin (in Minox) for over 20 years, no issues. I also take oral, however I have switched to Dut for both oral/topical these days. That will make the “everybody gets side effects” crowd head’s explode! That’s ok, they’ll blame that on fin as well!

    • You bet Admin, keep up the good work and also running a forum devoid of the typical BS found on other hair loss sites!

  15. It sounds something promising may appear in the not so distant future.
The comparison data with minox is interesting.

But lets be hopeful that Applied Biology releases this year AB-103. The minox enhancing product may be beneficial for many dissapointed minox users.

I feel that is the best bet this year.

    • good point MRKA.

Admin, any update on the AB-103? I was most looking forward to this since im a minoxidil non-responder

      • Arsenal, I will reach out soon and get back to everyone on that in the near future.

  16. Hi admin, any update with Rivertown and their rt1640 product? I’m excited to see how they are getting on? Thanks

    • Haven’t heard anything in a little while due to the corona stall, I will report back if I hear any news.

    • See the Updates page for a nice new mini TissUse update ?

  17. Such a mess that topical finasterid has the same sideeffects…makes the treatment worthless to me…though pictures seem really promising… Makes it even worse for me) i still thank you very much for the Article FT! Hope the haircloners hurry up, people start getting more desperate from AA in times like these, when your look makes 80 % of social life)

    • I know what you mean Stephan, but this is only the beginning of combination treatments, in not too distant future you could theoretically get a similar combination from a compounding pharmacy with Breezula swapped in for finasteride.

Future combinations seem great, imagine Samumed SM + Bimatoprost + Breezula.

  18. Hello everyone,

I think it could be useful to write an article about Hairstetics, a company that has developed a new system of synthetic implants that has proved its worth (0 infections or inflammations after 10 months). This system is beginning to be used well as a complement to a hair transplant. Admin, I have received some photos and I think that you can ask the CEO of Hairstetics who will be happy to share his results with you.

    • I’ll take a look Malik, for now this system only looks available to women.

    • Malik,

This seems interesting. I have e-mailed them, too. I asked some questions, and I asked for pictures. Has anyone else heard of this? If this is possible for males, could this possibly be a way to “keep us going” and visibly improve density for a few years? My questions and concerns:

      1) Is it possible for males?
      2) Does it damage the scalp or potentially lead to more loss?
      3) Are the clamps (I think that’s what they’re called) visible at the hairline?
      4) What sort of density can be achieved? On the website, the “after” pictures were much better, but the woman’s hair looked as though it had been combed to cover any scalp or diffuse areas.
      5) How often would this need re-done?

My cynical side says this probably won’t lead to anything, but worth looking into it.

      • Hello Paul,

I was able to contact them by phone, the product is fully available for men even if the EU authorization was requested only for women (that’s why there is no picture of men).

Moreover, the product is completely safe unlike the old synthetic implants (Nido and Biofibre), there is almost no risk of rejection.

The only problem is the price 10 euros per implant. A priori, the implants can completely cover a gallbladder area, and can very well complement a hair transplant.

  19. @Follicle Thought I dont understand the latest TissUse product. What were they proposing before that must be less advanced?

    • These hair culturing techniques are always a work in progress. It’s a version 1.0, 2.0 kind of thing. Also, science journal articles are sometimes published 1-3 years after the original study took place. We’ve assumed that TissUse has continually been working on their cloning work since the presentation at WCHR 2015 and launch of their website, but to see a published study is great sign/confirmation.

    • Loui, I believe the ingredients are melatonin and resveratrol. Side effects from scalp use of prostaglandin analogue seem unlikely.

  20. 看起来很有趣但不知道为什么需要这样的lengthy trials for approved topical. I used him, fin and minox. Saw no increased benefit so I stopped bim. Too expensive. I know numerous compound pharmacies that have these three compounds mixed. The before and after pics were not impressive at all. You would think after 40 years we would have a treatment that could fill in a balding diffuse crown. Let’s see what SM, Follica and CB can do together once they all get approved.

    • lol @ the comment ‘the before after pics were not impressive at all’. they were basicaly like small hair transplant results. def impressive for topicals

    • Nope, I think Tsuji is doing fine, still leading the hair follicle project at Organ Tech is my guess.

  21. thank you so much for your answer it’s always nice to have someone like you bringing great new content about hairloss during this difficult period for the hairloss industry.

do you have an idea what could be the mechanisms behind th16 that make it in theory more potent than minox 5 ( melatonin inhibit dht i think but what does revestravol do i’m not sure )? seems hard to believe than some natural product could me more efficient than the growth stimulant goat minox.

  22. Admin, thanks for this article. Seems quite promising. If the results are as good as they seem in the pictures, I would be interested in this.

    Good work!

Also, I contacted Paul from Hairclone. Would you like me to share his response?

    • Paul, can you email me his response first? thanks

    • Hi Paul,
Do you send the mail to the admin? I really like to know their answer.

Thank you for your research !

      • This was the message that Paul received from HairClone: “Thanks for your email. Yes, you are right that the Coronavirus has affected our work and our timelines and will continue to do so for a while. All the clinics that we work with have closed so we are unable to obtain any tissue for our research, but even if they weren’t, the labs at Birmingham University are also closed and the GMP facility that we are partnered with in the grant is in Newcastle University and has converted to work exclusively on NHS testing. In the meantime we are not just completely stopped, and are instead adjusting what work we do when and concentrating now on the regulatory documentation aspects that we had originally scheduled for the back end of the project. We are also looking to recruit some male and female volunteers who can supply us with a few miniaturising and non-miniaturing hairs as soon as the clinics and labs re-open so that we can try to catch up some of the lost time as to date we have just been requesting samples from patients undergoing treatment.”

  23. Admin can you please explain me I think i didn’t get it right: J Hewitt has problems to find a cell processing center doing the trials because nobody wants to work with them because of SHISEIDO???

    • Rudolf, basically the theory I have been told is that at least some of the CPCs want to avoid being involved with a potential competitor to Shiseido. But things can always change..

  24. Admin,

I had a question I was thinking about lately. Why is it that Follica has to go through the three phases of clinical trials, if they are not actually brining a new drug to market, but merely stabbing our scalps? Do microneedling devices need to pass through clinical trials before release? PRP and Exosomes are already available, but without trials.

    not making sense to me

    • Arsenla, I am not sure but I don’t think Follica has done the 3 sequential trials like most drugs or therapies do. We are sure that the treatment trialed in Follica’s first trial is not the treatment being trialed now. This leads me to the hypothesis that Follica is actually doing some sort of a modified trial route to get the latest treatment approved. I think it may only need one trial for approval and will be in a similar category to PRP, because remember there is no new drug being introduced here it’s just the procedure being done at the office.

    • Hi John, yes Kerastem and similar treatments have been available in different countries for a long time. Even adipose stem cells were available in the US for many years until recently. As far as I can tell there are no good sources of evidence that show the treatment is very effective, the procedure involves liposuction and typically produces results similar to PRP, hence it does not drum up a lot of discussion online.

      • Oh thanks for your prompt answer! … One more! What is the Status with Celino / Medipost ?? They finished the Trial last year summer and seems to be already available in Asia or Arabic countries. Is there something in the Pipeline for Europe / USA ?

        • I actually don’t know that but if I hear from Jay from Celino anytime soon I will let you know.

    • Definitely hoping that Corsarelis will put some of these patents to good use someday. When Follica’s new WNT topical enters trials to be combined with their wounding process I will be very interested in those results.

  25. I am currently trying out a since 2019 in Germany approved hair loss pharmacy drug called Redensyl. EU effectivity studies available on the net. FT i would really apreaciate to hear your opinion about this!

    • 斯蒂芬,我以为Redensyluses an ingredient created by L’Oreal originally called “stemoxydine”, but I’m not certain. Stemoxydine showed some reasonable efficacy I think from its users, but probably described in a category of ‘sub-minoxidil.’ All in all it’s likely one of the best natural alternatives to minoxidil. Some merit for the product I’d say.

  26. https://www.histogen.com/news/histogen-announces-investigational-new-drug-application-amendment-for-hst-001/

Histogen is making an “amendment” to their investigational new drug application that includes ” The submission is intended to expand Histogen’s IND to be a Phase 1b/2a clinical trial to assess the safety, tolerability and efficacy of HSC, as well as determine optimal dosing in male pattern hair loss.”

Since they are doing dose ranging in this phase 1b/2a study is there a chance this can go straight to phase 3? Can we get information from Histogen on this through your contact? It also looks like they have partnered with Huapont for their HSC product..meaning maybe the trials happening in China/Japan?

    • I’m not sure if it can go straight to phase 3 after this matt, but I will try to get an answer on that. It is definitely possible that some sort of trials or HST program could take place in Asia in the near-ish term future.

      • Thanks Admin, I would love to have an answer on that. I find it interesting that they “amended” this and would have dose ranging being tested in phase 1b/2a because usually that is a 2b study?

If they are trialing in Asia don’t they just need one trial to show that it’s safe and somewhat affective?

  27. Hi Admin,

I realised you removed INVITROHAIR from the updated pipeline April 2020 thought they still show information in their webpage.

Don’t you believe this is a trustworthy company in the run for a potential cure?

    Thanks

    • Hi Mosby, I don’t know what to make of the company so I decided not to cover them further on FT. That’s all. You can follow them on their web page if you like.

  28. Hello admin, I saw one video and few comments on RU58841. Do you know the side effects if it? It is not FDA approved but available online.

    • I don’t know the side effects of it actually, I’ve never used it, but perhaps anyone who has used it for long periods of time could chime in..

      • Of course Yoda has used RU, I’ve tried just about everything. I was already on dut and added RU (for 3 years) for an extra boost, which it gave me. However, since I’ve added oral minox and was getting good results I wanted to discontinue RU, it’s an unregulated Chinese chemical and I wouldn’t advise it. I also added topical Dut in my minox, so far off RU for about 2 months, haven’t lost any ground. My guess is that RU on it’s own might not be strong enough. I know, I’ve presented a lot of conflicting info…bottom line, proceed with caution and seek out regulated, proven treatments 1st.

  29. under “news” on Organ Technologies website it looks like Dr. Tsuji has resigned from his role as director..looks like unfortunate news for this program

    • matt, we’ve discussed this a bit in the comments, I’m not sure if this article or previous, but you can scroll through. My hypothesis is that the title change of Dr. Tsuji is not a big deal and does not affect their programs very much.

  30. homie i just read your time table to Tsuji launch said 2027… i thought it was 2020-2021?
don’t break my heart like that where are your getting your figures ? off hunch?

    • Egg, the table lists “Estimated” market releases. I haven’t been a proponent of the “Tsuji is really coming in 2020” bandwagon. No one at this time knows exactly when the Tsuji treatment is being released and their website does not show a proposed date, therefore I show a date that corresponds to their recent track record of progress and announcements. The updates and info shared from Organ Technologies is quite sparse. Ultimately, if the treatment comes before 2027, then awesome we’re all happy, if not, then we weren’t raising expectations too high.

      • Hello administrator, I am surprised how you have moved TissUse 3 more years in the table. Haircolne I believe by my personal estimation that it will be 2 more years for crown reasons.

        • Complimenti come sempre admin … bisogna capire HEWITT se trova un partner .. speriamo presto … per quanto riguarda TSUJI 2025 mi sembra troppo visto che li manca il test sull uomo … però bisogna capire perchesi e dimesso

          • Please use translation before posting a question.

        • Like I said before, the dates are estimates and subject to change. If it comes in 2022 it will be the best news ever, the estimated date on the graph is just to stay on conservative side.

      • Hello Admin, I wanted to ask you a question regarding a treatment I’m going through. I am suffering from hair loss since 1 year but it is not of typical male pattern with receding hairline and all. It is a uniform thinning all over my scalp. I’ve consulted various doctors and the latest doctor I’d consulted suggested me to go for 3 sessions of PRP, unfortunately because of CoViD I got only 1 session which was on 22nd Feb. Do you think 1 session will help me get a little bit of results like some mild regrowth or something because my hairfall has reduced more or less ?

        • Kay, it’s always possible that 1 session could help you with mild regrowth, but much more likely that repeated sessions would bring a better chance at success. Some patients show visual results from PRP but it’s likely the majority who do not. Most believe it’s worth a try, though.

          • Kay, are you male or female? If male, unless your hairloss is not very aggressive, I’d save your money. I know this from experience not just an opinion.

          • Thank you, admin and Yoda for reaching back. I have heard that PRP when done in early stages shows best results that is why I was suggested and Yoda, yes my hairfall was aggressive and it has reduced a big deal but now I cannot go for remaining sessions due to lockdown. Hope that I see visible improvements.

  31. Found it. I have a question FT. Why do you change the estimated date for treatments so much(tsuji, tissuse, shiseido e.t.c) since there where no real news about them in this couple of months? Is it a conservative guess of yours for the moment?

    • You’ve got it Stephan, also, the longer the companies go without making news updates (like you mentioned) it makes sense that the estimated release date will be further out. If news comes this year from the companies, then the estimated dates could actually get closer. The current dates are very practical.

  32. By the way guys, I did just receive an email from Dr. Choi, things are still moving forward. Nothing is imminent but I will most likely do a small update article in the future. He tells me a scientific journal article is in the works and may be published later this year. That’s good to hear. He mentions slight delays due to corona, but the overall tone is positive.

  33. The biggest questions are:
    – Is Dr. Tsuji still working on hair regeneration and doing trials? Or will the project delay until COVID-19 is cured?
    – Is it a mandatory for a company to publish trials in the clinical trial registry or could it be possible that Tsuji is doing trials undercover now?
    – Does Jon Knight, J Hewitt still force to find a cell processing center for doing SHT-Trial? (maybe in thias corona nightmare he hasnt got money to purchase the trials) Or will the project delay until COVID-19 is cured?

    • Detlef
The website of organtechnologies japan states that “Takashi Tsuji resigns as director and takes the office as adviser” which does not give clear information whether the work is under progress or not. It could mean that they have failed or it could also mean that they succeeded and now Tsuji has just taken off as adviser.

  34. With the current Global C19 situation I think hair loss & being bald is the least of our worries…

Instead of sitting on a hair loss forum discussing treatment & cure fantasies – focus on keeping yourself and your families safe and healthy.

    • Mark, nobody wants to discuss with you whether Covid-19 or Hairloss is a bigger problem. The people which are in this forum care about hairloss a lot so you have to respect that. The discussion is about the impact of corona on hairloss research not about corona itself!

If you have an other opinion please leave the forum and let us discuss about hair loss research for our own.

      • Ok guys, let’s call it a draw there. Truth be told, I am not too concerned about the coronavirus, this is just my personal opinion. The world is already moving back towards normality (in my opinion) and I believe that soon enough all of the usual activities, interests, and concerns will move back to the forefront. Once again, like I said this is my personal opinion and I’m not interested in bantering about corona.

        • Admin, when would TH07, if gone according to the estimated plan will be available worldwide ?
          Could you please answer ?

          • If the trial starts in Q3 2021, then it could reach the market in USA and Canada in Q2 2023.

If the trial could start in, for example, Q4 2020, then it could reach USA and Canada in Q2 2022

  35. Admin
My question was about “world” not USA and Canada. Will it be sold worldwide as well ?

    • Europe and Asian countries may have different regulations about bringing an approved drug into their territories. I’m not exactly sure how long it took finasteride to get into India and Europe, etc. Perhaps an additional 2-3 years to get into other countries? The 3 drugs involved are theoretically available via a compounding pharmacy in most of the world right now, however, it can be expensive get all 3 mixed together. TH07 also has been developed to have the optimal % of each drug as well which is another advantage of it.

  36. Hi Admin, what I don’t understand is, why are they working on TH07 at all? In the tables in the article, it says that TH16 basically shows identical results to TH07 (50% regrows vs 52% regrows), but if I understand correctly, TH16 will be available 2 years sooner, and have less potential negative side effects, correct? So why don’t they just scrap TH07 and focus on TH16? Why would anyone ever want to use TH07 over TH16 if they are same good?

    • 然而,你提出一个很好的观点GreenMonkey that data is likely a bit relative. There is no specification for “dense” regrowth in the charts by % or # of hairs. In other words, some examples of dense regrowth and the amount of dense regrowth attained likely varies a lot between the TH07 and TH16 results.

There’s virtually no way TH16 can really hang with TH07 in results. TH07 contains finasteride and so far there hasn’t been a natural product that can achieve its efficacy. Also, the pictures in the article tell a similar story.

      • Great article admin!

I really find so much of information in the comments section throughout all the articles on website, via good questions being asked and good answers.

Speaking of, I’ve had a lot of free time the past few days and I’ve gone through quite a lot of articles on your website and I’ve read every single comment (from the several articles I’ve read) and an important conclusion I’ve noted is that there are far more than the 4-6% of users of Finasteride that experience side effects.

Infact, I believe that figure it the BIGGEST Lie of all time in the hair loss industry. Because for too long people who have been experiencing side effects of Finasteride have been labeled as the outliers or the rare extremely small minority percentage that experiences side effects.

Upon thorough reading of not just your website comments sections but about 4 other of the biggest hair loss forums on the internet as well, I have come to the conclusion that AT LEAST 60% of the users of Finasteride have experienced sexual side effects (and this is being extremely modest). More realistically its a strong 70% to 80% of users of Finasteride that has consistently reported sexual side effects of Finasteride.

Infact in all of these 5 hairloss forums (FT included with the other 4 forums) , there’s really only less than a handful of users who haven’t experienced sexual side effects. I refer to these people like Yoda as genetically gifted and these people are always very adamant that side effects are over exaggerated, but if you haven’t experienced negative sides for yourself, you’d always think people are lying. But then again, Yoda isn’t human even in the movie ? But seriously though, people like Yoda and the other 3 or 4 people on this forum who haven’t experienced sexual side effects on Finasteride are just the rare fortunate minority %. I don’t think most people should be even be comparing themselves with such gifted individuals. I mean Yoda hasn’t had sides on Finasteride for decades and he moved onto Dutasteride which is even more potent and has more side effects. He even went onto trying RU58841 which also has many side effects and isn’t even FDA approved amongst many other treatments. Kudos to him, I’m really happy for him and the small % of others being successful.

But to the majority of users like myself, once having had side effects on Finasteride, I wouldn’t dare touch anything similar let alone stronger, like DUT or RU58841. Hence I don’t consider myself in the genetically gifted range of Yoda. And I think many others should note that everyone is different and we all can’t be respond like Yoda but that is actually very normal.

Infact it’s the majority of people that get side effects from Finasteride. So this status quo needs to change and a paradigm shift needs to be made.

Personally, I am very glad that atleast something will be available in 2021 (TH16) and a natural alternative. The results of TH07 look really good, but I wouldn’t dare try it, like many others here have already mentioned, due to it containing Finasteride.

  37. Hello,
Does this product contain minoxidil as one of its active ingredients?

    • There are 2 products shown in this article but the major one does contain (yes) minoxidil, latanoprost, and finasteride.

  38. Thanks for confirming. Really looking forward to the day something viable, with minimal side effects is released without minoxidil. I cannot use this product
unfortunately. Keeping my fingers crossed we have something before 2025. Are the products on the pipeline on track as far as you know? I guess the earliest we will see something is 2022 maybe?

    • There’s possibly a few delays due to corona, but mostly on track I’d say. I think Samumed and Follica are the earliest new options we’d see.

  39. Dumb question, possibly already answered…. Why is it called “Triple Hair”?

    • Hey Michael, it’s called Triple Hair because of the three ingredients combined to create a synergistic formula to grow as much hair as possible.

  40. I see on there web site that Attila Hajdu is bald can anyone find out if he has tried the product as if he has it is not very promising

  41. Admin, could you ask Triple-Hair if the natural compounds in TH16 are anti-androgenic or not?

    Thanks

    • Peterson, I am almost certain the main ingredients in TH-16 are melatonin and resveratrol. Not anti-androgenic by nature but may have a protective effect on the hair follicle.

  42. Hi FT, how do you know these are the two ingredients? Will you make a post when th16 will be availablr online?

    • There is a patent online from the founder of Triple Hair using resveratrol and melatonin for hair growth. I will make a post when I talk to them again within the next few weeks, yes.

  43. If TH16 Natural is as good as the other drug related product why do you need them and also there is a TH18 in the pipeline as well.
I also looked at one of the staff of this company who is shiny bald now if these products worked surely he would have been offered to trial it which makes me very sceptical although the natural i would try it as i am fed up with the amount of chems i have tried over the years on my scalp.

  44. It’s finally available for sale under the name Rizn.

    https://rizn.ca/

How optimistic should we be about their claims for this product?

    • Good news, let’s see how it does out on the market. I don’t think they’ve gone over the top on their claims, but have set a slightly lofty expectation. I’m planning to have a separate page for Rizn reviews on this site.

      • Admin, where can the results be found and posted? I ordered a few days ago.

          • Hi i notice Triple hair will not ship to uk which is annoying.

          • Sorry to hear that David, I imagine that issue will be resolved as they expand their distribution network.

    • Clinical Trial “29 participants” for 6 months……

      Tell us another……

  45. Just ordered 4 months supply. I’m in early diffuse thinning stage, will update after 2, 3 & 4 months.

    • I have talked to Jean at Triple Hair and there will be some Triple Hair updates by Summer. Should be worthwile.
